Campaign calendar content plays an important role in keeping brands relevant and visible throughout the year on social media. Awareness days and commemorative dates give you a natural opportunity to communicate values, highlight key topics, and stay present on social channels without relying solely on product-led messaging.
Two examples of this approach I worked on for Smart Spaces are World Recycling Day and Data Protection Day. For both of these, the designer produced social posts and I wasked to animate them.
For Data Protection Day, this was a fun one to animate, using the key and padlock elements to interact with each other and represent data being unlocked. For World Recycling Day, I wanted to take the arrows and show them being cycled to represent being re-used, so I moved them around the piece. Both videos are playful bits of animation designed to make people smile and want to interact with the brand.
Both pieces were designed to work as part of a wider campaign calendar, sitting comfortably alongside other brand content while still acknowledging the significance of each day. These kinds of projects show how simple, well-considered motion can support important messages and help brands stay relevant across the year.
