Sportas Mobile App

For this project, I created a video for Sportas, an app that helps people discover and book social sports sessions that might otherwise be hidden or hard to find. The goal was to showcase the app and highlight how easy it is to use.

I made the video using the new 3D model import options in After Effects. This allowed me to add in a phone showing the app directly in the composition, without needing to go through Cinema 4D or another 3D workflow. I experimented with different angles and placements to make the product feel natural in the scene and integrated it seamlessly with the other visual elements.

I experimented with AI for this video. I tried creating some clips on Adobe Firefly and Google Gemini of people playing volleyball, but the physics didn’t come out right so I ended up not using them. I did use AI to create the faces for the players in the app, so as not to infringe anyone who didn’t want their face shown.

I briefly tried using Elevenlabs for a voiceover, but felt doing my own was more authentic, so I recorded it myself. The edit was paired with SilentCrafter – Into The Game on YouTube, which complemented the energy of the app and the overall flow of the video.

This project was a good opportunity to test new 3D workflows in After Effects and explore how they can streamline product-focused videos.
