The Colmore Building were eager to advertise their companion app to their building tenants, with the goal of getting more downloads by emphasising the benefits and features available to app users. I was provided with the features they wanted to advertise as well as many lovely illustrations that existed as part of their brand. From there, I created a rough storyboard with a creative director in order to agree a direction for the videos for the different features.

This produced a lot of different ideas for the direction of the content and allowed me to start animating different ideas. Originally, we were going to produce one video only, but we opted to do one for each feature so that we could flesh them out further. We also did the videos vertically rather than horizontally, as this fit the illustration style better.
